 If this is The Real Bo, then I don't want no Mo' !! This is pure Country Jun 07, 2008
I really got behind him on A.I. Because he "seemed" like the first "rocker" to find some success there. And His first album had a couple of Great sounding songs, reminiscent of some recent Def Leppard rifts. So I was really looking forward to his new album hoping he would go more in that direction of Popular Rock. After I heard Witness, I thought he was going the right direction. But I was So sorely Disappointed to find that not only was the Album ONLY AVAILABLE AT WALMART?? (figure that out??) But even worse, It wasn't even Southern Rock...I popped it in that car and thought "Crap! Except Witness, I just bought a Country/Honky Tonk album with a bunch of drinking songs!" Bummer.
If you are NOT into a bunch of Slide Guitar, just download Witness and leave the rest of this album.

this is the cd bo bice wanted to make the 1st time around,but couldn't cause of the american idol record mogal clive davis wanted a pop cd.this cd rocks!! southern fried rock in the same vein as"travis tritt+shooter jennings" great guitar sound+ great vocals! kickin' drums! the first single "witness" is great southern rock song! from top to bottom this cd is great!! keep southern rock alive+kickin' bo!!!

 Weak vocals, catchy songs May 18, 2008
I purchased this CD today because I've read a lot of hype about it and how great Bice is in this his second CD. I was disappointed. Yes, the guitar work is stellar. Yes, the songs are catchy and interesting. What I didn't like were the vocals. I found Bice's voice to be weak sounding and too much of an imitation of others (Skynard, Counting Crows) and just not unique enough. I feel that Bice is still trying to find his way musically and will eventually get there and that this CD is much better than the first, I'm just not digging the vocals. He went in and out of a gritty tone as if he wasn't sure if that was his style or if something purer was.
Overall it was an alright CD but not one I'll be listening to in it's entirety over and over again. Might add Witness to my MP3 player since it's the only song that I actually enjoyed.

After the disasterous first cd that he was forced to make by the big boys of the record industry, Bo is back with a cd that screams SOUTHERN ROCK! Whether you are a country fan or a rock fan, I think this cd will be loved by all. A big thumbs up to Bo on this. Glad to have the real Bo Bice back!

Throughout his 2nd cd "See The Light". Bo shows exactly what got him all the attention in the first place. The cd is downright soulful and its coming straight from him to the listeners everywhere. Since he wrote/co wrote every song on this 10 track cd. Just about any and everything that you want music wise is hear for your listening pleasure. If you thought that Bo was done after his 1st effort which was okay. Then this one is sure to prove you wrong and believe me you'll be glad that you took the time out to check this stellar release from Bo Bice.
He's growing musically and lyrics wise also putting himself out there on just about every track and having fun doing it. "See The Light" and give this one a shot. Not a track on here that i wouldnt want to listen to again and again.
