Something new and different Aug 18, 2008 Title should tell you, You are in for a ride. Love it. Can't wait for the follow up. The next level for Maynard.
Weird Aug 12, 2008 The humor of this CD gets old really fast. When I first heard that Keenan was doing another side project, I hoped for some hard rock like APC (before eMotive, when they didn't do horrible covers). I was horribly disappointed, but I've come to appreciate this CD's strong points. It definitely has a few... Indigo Children is my personal favorite, but I think The Undertaker is the best song - sadly it just sounds like A Perfect Circle. Some tracks are just plain boring. There's not much more to say about this.

Air out the bath house, please. Jul 26, 2008 I bought this before I was able to find any parts of it to preview. Primarily, I bought it because I have absolutely loved everything I ever heard from Tool and A Perfect Circle. I was thinking 'how far from the tree can an apple fall?'
Isaac Newton would be astounded.
This one just seems to drone on forever. From the first note to the last, it never really seems to change it's feel at all. Boring.
However, I'm sure it'll be a huge hit in public bath houses and rave parties everywhere.
Interesting - some catchy, some weird Jul 13, 2008 I love some songs on this album, and don't understand some.
In other words, some songs carry a great beat, and others are just ranting with weird noises, essentially.
The whole album is undoubtedly creative and unique - but demo it first.
very funny, very creative, and very good Jul 04, 2008 Count me among the ones who think this album is awesome. It's kind of like APC, Zappa, Ween, Deep Forest, and Rob Zombie got together to make a trance album. Of course, it doesn't sound exactly like any of them. It has it's own charm, and like those other bands I mentioned, is completely unique. Many of the songs seem to be taking a similar approach as Lovage, Mike Patton's foray into R&B electronica, but it's much more complex and challenging.
There are also a handful of songs that seem to take a more serious point of view than the others. Dozo, The Undertaker, and Rev. 2:20 are just great, great songs by any standards.
I've seen people saying that nobody would care about this album if it weren't Maynard Keenan making it. I think the opposite might be true. If this music had a different name attached, it may not be as well known, but for those who knew about it, it would likely be a very treasured album. I know I'm going to listen to it for a long time to come. I love every song on it.
