 Not your average harry Jan 14, 2008
From what I had come to know of HCJs work this is very left field. It made me think of the old black and white midday movies from my youth, but still enjoyable. I think that if I saw the actual productions I would have a greater appreciation of the work but it is still good background music.

We loved Harry Connick Jr in the Pajama Game on Broadway and the CD brings back wonderful memories of great singing, choreography and fun!!

I found the music very dull and repetitive. Uninteresting.
The Pajama Game cd is great. Loved it.
Lost in translation Nov 25, 2006
I'm a longtime fan of both the Pajama Game and Harry Connick, Jr. (and now Kelly O'Hara). Having seen the show, I can truly say I've never had so much fun at a Broadway musical. However, although this CD is good, it's not great -- in my book, it's not as good as the original cast recording with John Raitt in the Sid Sarokin role. On this CD, something's been lost in the show's translation from live to recorded performance. But if you were lucky enough to have seen the show on Broadway,this recording will transport you back to the palpable chemistry between Kelly and Harry as well as Harry's show-stopping piano improv during Hernando's Hideaway, among other delights.
