Babyface- Grown & Sexy Nov 01, 2007 See now i am so happy face put this album out. Because after the confusing effort of Face2Face, sounded like he was trying way to hard to fit in with the dance r&b crowd, i thought he might just call it quits. But he announced he was releasing his still unreleased concept album "A Love Story", which really makes me mad that he never released it because i heard it was going to be a classic album. So naturally when i heard Love Story was called off i was a little down in the dumps. So i was left wondering, if it was truly over now for Face or if he was STILL going to try and push another album out. Well thank god he pushed another album out because it is my favorit Face album yet to date. And even though musically Grown & Sexy (GS from here on out i will refer to it as)was not perfect, there was still something else that drew me to this album and made me fall in love with it. It could be the swagger that this album has, it could be the fact that Face couldnt have picked a better name for this album than Grown & Sexy, because that is exactly what this album is. Its a combination of great music, swagger, art, and vibes that make this album the classic that it is. I still remember when i stumbled across it at a best buy and i was in shock because i had no idea he had a new album out and at the time, it had already been out for 4-5 months. If i would have heard about it earlier i would have bought it the day it came out. But anyways i am really glad to see that Face is going back to his REAL love songs like the irresistably warm feeling of "Gettin' To Know You" which is definetly one of the many stellar tracks on the album. Its just a chill mid tempo love song. And he also brought back the baby making music which there was none of on Face2Face, "Tonight It's Goin' Down" is sure to cause a spike in the population very fast with its silky smooth vibe and swagger. And then he brings back the powerful break up song with "Goin' Outta Business" which just shows that he has moved past all the dance tracks and is in his Grown & Sexy stage. The promo sticker on the album packaging reads this "The Premier Singer/Songwriter of our time is back with the album of his life!" and that is exactly what this album is. Overall i couldnt have asked for anymore out of Face, because he put out an album that i can listen to all the way through whenever i want and never get sick of it. Its just Grown & Sexy!

Babyface has never been better Aug 21, 2006 If you like Babyface's music you MUST get this CD. You can listen to it over and over. The CD is excellent for a romantic evening. This CD goes through all the emotions of relationships. I don't have the CD in front of me right now but my favorite tracks are 1, 2, 6,7,&8. Mr. Edmonds is definitely grown and sexy; knows much more; has what you've been missing, etc (you need to listen to all 10 reasons. This is the CD that should be playing when you and someone special have it going down, you are in the final round, and sexy (listen to track 1)for the rest. I can't say enough good things about this CD, it is one of his best.

he'snot a baby!! Jul 28, 2006 babyface is not a baby so if you are looking for a baby that is singing insteasd of a man that is singing than maybe you need to buy a differant cd!! it is not ok with me that babyfce wants to be called sexy because he is not a girl he is a boy and only girls are sexy where i live!!! bethatasitmay babayface sings lots of songs on this cd that will help a lady stay at your house when even after she sees your collection of kitten statues and you tell her that there your moms and your keeping them but she doesn't believe you!! if you want to have girls stay at your house for longer than they were planning to this cd and the songs on it will help you convince her to do that ok?!!

Next time try a gorgeous duet with Regina Belle...you won't be disappointed ! Apr 29, 2006 I always liked his music , he's one of the best on the market.
Lately he has made some wrong choices , looking for an easier success...The Anita Baker's story should teach him something....
I like this CD , but don't think that it's spectacular...
It's very much 'Babyface' , which is OK .
He needs some pure inspiration , some new excellent musicians , to try a new , a little more adventurous path and sing a song with Regina Belle , the most consistent and brilliant vocalist available nowadays...Just check her terrific latest 'Lazy Afternoon' out...
And most of all , he needs to forget the glitz and glamour and... the charts...
At 48 , he can't make more mistakes. What we're expecting from him next time is some really fresh , different , QUALITY contemporary music , which can stand the test of time.
If he is truly inspired , success will follow !

sexy and cool sans the crazy... Mar 27, 2006 To put is simply, this album is as cool as the other side of the pillow. I mean, cool, sultry melodies with a gorgeous tenor or falsetto voice laid down on top of them, simply smooth all the way through. I'll tell you, whether you're looking for something to set the mood or something to just chill and relax to after a long, hard day, this one will definitely hit the spot.
