Description:

R. Kelly has had 26 Top 40 hits, won the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2001 MOBO Awards, and his anthemic smash 'Ignition Remix' entered the charts at No.1. TP.3 Reloaded features a 5-part musical soap opera entitled "Trapped...In The Closet." In typical daring R. Kelly style he has experimented with the art of storytelling and lyrics to create something very unique. The concept behind the soap on "Trapped...In The Closet" comes from back in the day, when the radio was the only entertainment available. Families would sit round the radio to listen to shows and plays for evening entertainment.

4NOT ONE OF MY MOST PLAYED R. KELLY ALBUMS...  Feb 02, 2008
This project is all mixed up with various settings and/or grooves, and doesn't fall in the pocket as a Solid Album Project. Standout Tracks are: "Slow Wind", "Kickin' It With Your Girlfriend", And the Main Track that sold the album: "Trapped In The Closet". If you were lucky enough to get this Compact Disc when if was first released you got the Bonus DVD of "Trapped In The Closet" (And what a Video!!!). Mr. Kelly ALWAYS managed to get a Number One Hit Single, and a few Top Ten Singles to boot from EVERY Album...So far, but there's always room for improvement, and I'm pretty sure he will get better with the next project...He has too much talent to let it go to waste. Maybe he was rushing to get this release finished, there has to be a story behind this almost weak project.

1YAWN!  Sep 12, 2007
Proof how insincere R. Kelly was on U Saved Me. It didn't ring true back then, and here's proof he hasn't changed a bit. I used to like his music, but he hasn't evolved mentally nor spiritually. And what's up with those annoying water drops? How many times do we have to listen to those in an R'n'B song? A so-called genius doesn't have to recycle. Yawn!

4R. Kelly - TP.3 Reloaded  May 27, 2007
Why did people hate on this album so much? I know there is allways gonna be Kells haters due to his ongoing child pornography trial. But does that have anything to due with this legends music??? Not at all. He still is the King of R&B regardless of if he is guilty or not (Hes innocent). That will never change, and no one is going to over throw him anytime soon. He is to dominant. Every one of his albums are platinum, most are multi platinum. He has a dozen or so number one hit singles, and alot of his albums are highly rated by critics. But its the people that know nothing about Kells except he is in a scandal right now, that bag on him all the time. He is a legend people, that will never change. The anticipation i had for this album, was unparrelled. I couldnt sleep the week before it came out. I remember looking this album up on the internet every day of the week before it came to see if the tracklisting changed, or if the release date changed, or even to get a glimpse of the cover. I was so excited for this album, it was all i was talking about the week before it came out. I remember i was leaving to go on vacation the day it came out, and i woke up at like eight in the morning so i could go buy this album before me and my family left. And i listened to it for a week strait after it came out. Now this album is not his best album, but its very strong. The thing with this album was it didnt have any huge hit singles. The Trapped in The Closet series was heard occasionally on the radio, but not very often. The thing i liked about this album, was he returned to the TP.2, smooth mid tempo tracks. This album sounds just like a sequal to TP2 because alot of the songs have that same smooth, mellow, baby making feel to them that the legendary TP2 had. And this was also definetly a big summer album. It came out in the first week of July, right after the 4th i believe, and there fore it had alot of blazing hot summer tracks to go along with the mellow R&B cuts. One hot summer jam being the heavy bass summer anthem featuring The Game, "Playa's Only". Another hot summer joint would be the more mid tempo "Happy Summertime" which also features a big name rapper in Snoop Dogg. This song was a great cruising song during the summer. But when it came to the smooth R&B cuts nothing on the album was better than the cheating song, "Kickin' It With Your Girlfriend", which had that smooth, laid back vibe to it despite the touchy cheating topic. Its just a vintage R. Kelly song with its light horns going off in the background. Another great R&B track is the smokers ode to sex, "Sex Weed" which is one of the many baby making tracks on the album with a more slow tempo dreamy vibe. But all in all, this album is definetly not flawless, but its just another great addition to the already phenominal catalog R. Kelly has built. Stop hating on the legend, and appriciate this man for what he is, because after he is gone, it might be a long time before we ever see another R&B singer of his talent.

3It does not start out with a bang it ends with one  Jan 11, 2007
After hearing Happy People, its certain that R Kelly needs to step it up or step off. Even though R Kelly is a great singer that leaves a definite impression with each album he makes, Happy People showed that he was not going to be the same. This album follows suit. Trapped In The Closet(chapters 1-5) is the best and most creative song R Kelly ever made. The story of infidelity(with more twists and turns than your average soap opera) will keep you listening to all 5 chapters of Trapped In The Closet with no hesitation. Unfortunately the rest of this album is not as spectacular. Standout Tracks: PLAYA'S ONLY(feat Game), HAPPY SUMMERTIME(feat Snoop) and SLOW WIND are all good club records. TOUCHIN with Nivea is a decent but explicit love jam but none of these songs is touching the epic Trapped In The Closet(chapters 1-5). Filler: Sex in the kitchen and Put my T-shirt on are flat out dull, Remote control is a dumb love jam with a corny concept, Sex weed and (Sex) Love is what we makin are just as bad as the titles and Turn it up is so wack it makes you hate reggaeton. Other disposable songs: Girls Go Crazy(if this what R Kelly and Birdman's Best of Both Worlds would have sounded like then the whole world dodged one hell of a bullet!), Reggae Bump Bump(just as bad as it sounds), Hit It Till The Morning(all those people on one record and it still sucked),and Kickin It With Your Girlfriend(ran out of ideas for a song). Bottom Line: R Kelly can do much better than this and if he cant its time for him to throw in the towel. Sure all 5 chapters of Trapped In The Closet are great but the rest of this album is not as great as Trapped In The Closet.
