My introduction to this type of music started with violinist extraordinaire, Vanessa Mae in 1990's. The fusion of techno, pop and serious classical was a breath of fresh air, and Bond soon found its way into the long list of my favorites. The classically trained flutist in me loves the serious backbone in this music but the poppy/dance movie like melodies mesh so well that it morphs into a wonderful crossover. The violins, viola and cello here are throbbing with passion, excitement and fresh, new vibrancy. If I am sitting down when listening to this, my feet are always tapping whether I know it or not, but this is really appropriate for just about any activity. Those familiar with the classical pieces that were used and embellished on will enjoy the new take on old favorites.
Fans of Pachelbel's Canon will adore "Lullaby" it's sweet and romantic. I always feel as if I was at a spring wedding on some exotic locale whenever I hear it.
"Dream Star" in my mind it sounds like sunset and then sunrise somewhere warm where the air is thick and views stunning.
"I'll Fly Away" is simply amazing, when this stars playing I get goosebumps, it just sounds like a journey under a starry sky in Morocco, riding a camel wile the cool wind blows through the hair.
"Hungarian" makes me thing of goulash and jumping over fires! Fun, crazy piece with some trance mixed in.
"Adagio for Strings" done with drums and synthesizer - lovely and moving, also really well done as a trance piece by DJ Tiesto - fyi for the fans of the melody.
"Explosive" just like the name suggests it's not a shy piece; it was used during the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
Those familiar with the classical pieces that were used and embellished on will enjoy the new take on old favorites. Every time I hear this CD it makes me happy, I can't wait for their new album coming out this year.

Loved the Watch Commercial - CD is as Good Nov 08, 2007
After seeing the watch commercial by Bond...I just had to get the CD. The CD was even better than expected.

I may not be as big of a fan of Bond as I once was but every now and then I like to listen to the group's music to take the edge off. I have to admit I wasn't really that thrilled with Bond's second album SHINE. The material on their sophomore album was lacking some of the energy that made BORN such a great album. With their third studio album CLASSIFIED quickly reminded me why I love the band so much. The energy is more evident on this album than on SHINE. Granted I don't think anything that the group will do will match the high energy and beauty of BORN. There were a couple of songs that were less than stellar like "Fly Robin Fly" and "Midnight Garden" but I still enjoyed the album for what it is which is fun listening to music. My favorite songs on the album is "Lullaby" and "Adagio for Strings". I am particularly fond of "Lullaby" since it is an updated version of Pachelbel's "Canon", my all time favorite baroque piece. I like the addition of the percussion and vocalizations to the track. Bond's music may not be fluff to some people but to me it is a lot of fun to listen to especially after spending eight hours of listening to gothic and industrial music while at the office.

This group of four ladies puts on such a performance, you'll feel exhausted! You'll recognize the tunes but I guarante you have never heard them played like this before. The electrified violins and string instruments coupled with their frenetic pace is just amazing. For a visual treat see them perform live on their dvd or combo cd/dvd. But one of their cd's and you'll be back for more.

I have to happily agree with another reviewer who noted that she gets more done when she listens to Bond. I feel the exact same way. Their music is perfect for me during a long drive or when I'm busy at work.
I am not a classical music aficinado, but I've found that I really enjoy listening to Bond. My favourite would be their rendition of "Kashmir" on the Shine CD, I believe.
