The one collection to rule them all Aug 28, 2008 Definitely worth it. Special attention to Man in the Box, Them Bones, No Excuses, Down in a Hole and Rooster.
Don't mind the "Greatest Hits", buy this.
great groups Aug 01, 2008 I don't know if there will ever be AICE IN CHAINS ANYMORE ONE CAN ONLY HOPE SO!!!I come from the era of 60's/70's rock and I can say,I can appreciate a "GOOD ROCK BAND"ROOSTER MY ALL TIME FAV!!!!ANY WAYS this album is good like other albums by them there are a few repeat songs A+
Jeff's review Nov 28, 2007 I love this CD , it has all my favorite Alice In Chains songs from the early years , although I am considerings getting the Esential Alice in Chains 2 CD set.
This CD is still great , I mean you get " We Die young" and
"Get born Again ", Witch I believe were previously unreleased before 1999, plus 13 other great Songs.
A nice addition to your AIC collection, but get the studio albums first. Aug 03, 2007 This cd is a great addition, because it is the best greatest hits collection they have released. It includes a new song, "Get Born Again" which became a hit single as well. It was the last we heard from Layne before he died. This album is missing a few of their hits, like "Heaven Beside You", "Over Now", and "Sea of Sorrow", but that is my only gripe.
I really recommend buying this as a supplemental piece of the AIC collection, because the studio albums are so strong.
Another cool thing is they include "What the Hell Have I?" from the Last Action Hero soundtrack, which is one of their best songs. That soundtrack can be hard to get ahold of these days. (LAH also includes "A Little Bitter", another hard to find AIC song, on that soundtrack.)
This is a great cd to put in at a party.
One of my fav CDs.. Jun 26, 2007 Like I said for Jar Of Flies, this is one of the best CDs of the genre.
Also like Unplugged for a little laid-back version of the songs... Also Unplugged is a nice way to (re-)introduce AIC to those that might have thought them too gritty or some such.
A required CD.
