Open Your Mind... Just enjoy the Music... It IS for Fun... Dec 02, 2008 OK... I have seen so many people that are tearing Maynard to Bits over this CD, saying they were expecting "Tool" or "APC". I Aggree with the Big Number of people that have said "Why would Maynard release something with the same style that he has done with his other releases". Now don't get me Wrong. I am a HUGE Tool and APC Fan, and Yes I even like Emotive from APC, unlike some other fans that I have seen giving reviews here. Then again, Aparently, I have a more open mind when it comes to my Music, Unlike some people that have reviewed this CD. If you don't like to get out of your "Comfort Zone" or move outside your little "Status Quo BOX" of what you EXPECT from Maynard, then this is not the CD for you. However if you can see Past what you think Maynard SHOULD do, and what you can ACCEPT coming from him, this just might be the CD for you... I found out about this CD by way of the APC Website. I went to get some News on any new Projects APC was going to be coming out with... There I saw a link to the Puscifer website, so I went to check it out. When I arrived and started hearing "Indigo Children" I had to stay and listen to a few of the other songs as well... When I heard "Momma Sed" I wanted to hear MORE of them so I looked the CD up on Borders.com and heard a little more of some of the other songs on the CD and decided to send them an In-Store Pick-Up Reservation just because of the songs that I had heard (Indigo Children, Momma Sed and Rev 22:20). When I got home with the CD and actually started listening to the WHOLE THING I was blown away by the music I was Hearing, and knowing that it came from Maynard's Mind, (The mind behind Tool and APC) I gained an even Better RESPECT for Maynard as the ARTIST and GENIUS that I already KNEW He was... To know that he AGAIN had gone against what is considered "MAINSTREAM" and come out with something as INTERESTING, INTENSE, and at the same time FUN and CONTAGIOUS to listen to, spoke to me even DEEPER. As I listened to this CD I found myself getting a few ECHOES of one of my Favorite songs from "10,000 Days" from Tool. The "Wings For Marie" Story, eventhough some of the songs I was hearing here were Quite a bit DIFFERENT from that, but it brought back the Same FEEL to me. So that gave me enough of an ENJOTYMENT of this CD. The only thing that I felt was MISSING from the actual CD was the REGULAR Version of Rev. 22:20 (not to say that the "Dry Martini Mix" isn't as good, but I would like to hear the REGULAR Version of it as well on the CD). Now for SOME PEOPLE it might take more than ONE LISTEN to APPRECIATE the music that is on this CD, but if you allow yourself the chance to make it PAST that point, you just might find some songs that Really Speak about things Some People might be a little Uncomfortable listening to, whether it be SEX or RELIGION. Now where the Packaging is concerned, when I got in my Car after purchasing the CD, I had to open it up out of curiosity of what I would find. On doing this I found myself HOWLING with Laughter at some of the things I Saw there. Eventhough I knew that it would be Offensive to SOME, I saw it as Hillarious, eventhough at the Same Time I was like "MAYNARD, How could you??? OMG that is SO WRONG..." But STILL I could see the HUMOR in what I was looking at, and I could Appreciate that someone would have the BALLS to put things like that in their Album Cover. I also got "V is for Viagra" at the same time, and found that the Remixes that were on THAT CD were Very Interestingly done, and Just as INFECTIOUS as "V is for Vagina". Another thing I have seen Dissed here as well... But like I said Earlier, I guess I have Much WIDER Tastes than alot of people do, so I can appreciate More the Feel of some of the Remixes, and Yes some remixes to me by some other bands are just not as good as the originals, but for This Remix CD I felt that they were ALL EQUALLY as good as the Original Songs. So I will say AGAIN, if you can look past what you can EXPECT to come from Maynard, Instead of what you think he SHOULD do, or if you can think of Maynard as MORE than JUST the voice of "Tool" and "APC", then you will probably like this CD. Otherwise, SAMPLE IT before you buy it so you don't have to Tear Down a MUSICAL GENIUS like MJK. That Said, I will END this Review. TY for Reading this. :-)

Weird Aug 12, 2008 The humor of this CD gets old really fast. When I first heard that Keenan was doing another side project, I hoped for some hard rock like APC (before eMotive, when they didn't do horrible covers). I was horribly disappointed, but I've come to appreciate this CD's strong points. It definitely has a few... Indigo Children is my personal favorite, but I think The Undertaker is the best song - sadly it just sounds like A Perfect Circle. Some tracks are just plain boring. There's not much more to say about this.

Air out the bath house, please. Jul 26, 2008 I bought this before I was able to find any parts of it to preview. Primarily, I bought it because I have absolutely loved everything I ever heard from Tool and A Perfect Circle. I was thinking 'how far from the tree can an apple fall?'
Isaac Newton would be astounded.
This one just seems to drone on forever. From the first note to the last, it never really seems to change it's feel at all. Boring.
However, I'm sure it'll be a huge hit in public bath houses and rave parties everywhere.
