best album of 2008 Dec 31, 2008 Jakob Dylan has a real winner with "Seeing Things". There isn't one clunker on this entire CD. I've listened to it over 100 times in the last few months and it's still fresh as ever. To me that's a true statement about staying power. It was daring of Jakob to step out of the old "tried and true pop formula" of today's music just to get a hit single. He's found himself as a man who believes in what he's doing and not trying to follow the crowd. It's rare to find an acoustic guitar based album today that has great lyrics and awesome melodies. This one has it all!!!
As a 55 yr old geezer here, who grew up listening to his old man, I can honestly say that Jake doesn't need any help using dad's name. He's quite capable of creating his own musical legacy if he continues in this vein.

An old Dylan fan, now a new Dylan fan Dec 23, 2008 I was never much a fan of the Wallflowers. But a huge fan of Bob Dylan. Naturally when I saw Jakob Dylan put out a solo album, my curiosity was piqued and I had to at least see what it was all about.
I was completely won over. This album is mellow and soulful and absolutely incredible. Dylan really demonstrates that he inherited some of his dad's songwriting abilities. This is pure talent and a fan of his dad is sure to enjoy Jakob's music.

Love This Album Dec 20, 2008 Yes sounding a bit like Pops but with a sound still all his own.He has definitely inherited some talent. Mellow, relaxing with great lyrics... this album grows on you with more and more listens. He is on my top list with my favorite singer-songwriter: Emmylou Harris and my favorite new albums: La La Lost and Raising Sand.

not dad but just as good Oct 19, 2008 very nice album. laid-back style. mellow sound (he has a sexier voice than dad, whose sound is more distinctive and folksy. love dad too). this album puts me in the mood to take a long drive home on a country road at dusk.
